Thanksgiving Basket Brigade
It might be hard to believe, but for some of our families, $40 can mean the difference between celebrating Thanksgiving with their loved ones and just having the day pass by.
The Beauty Foundation seeks out cancer families who are either too sick to shop for the meal or who cannot afford it due to the financial burden of battling the disease. They would otherwise not have the holiday it weren’t for the Basket Brigade and your donation.
The Basket Brigade is a group of volunteers headed up by the Beauty Foundation, who spend the Sunday before Thanksgiving collecting and assembling entire meals! We have all the fixings of a great feast brought to us in bulk where we put together complete meal baskets consisting of a turkey, stuffing, sides and even dessert! We’ll put together about 100 baskets in total, and then deliver them to these families so that they don’t miss this all-important holiday to give thanks and be with family. We work with several food organizations on discounted pricing on these items where we’ve gotten the cost of a full meal down to $40!
